Alfred Lord Tennyson

“Theirs is not to reason why, theirs is but to draw and die.” Something like that. Getting all poetical with Alfred Tennyson.

Chet Baker Caricature

Some great facial architecture to get to grips with: trumpet legend, Chet Baker. So many different ways to go about drawing him—this isn’t the first time and I’m sure it won’t be the last.

Caricature Tools: Sketchbook Pro + a pinch of Affinity Photo.

Jaz Coleman Caricature

Killing Joke's Jaz Coleman. There were about three different ideas I was mucking about with on this but decided to call halt on it at this point. Always fun to throw stuff about, get messy, then try and make some kind of sense of it all. Originally sat down to do a real explosive Ralph Steadman-esque approach but it tightened-up despite my intentions. Fun tho’

Caricature tools: pen and ink, markers, and acrylic paint on A3 220gsm cartridge paper.
