Albert Uderzo

A tribute to recently departed cartoonist, writer and artist, Albert Uderzo. Hard to think right now of a cartoonist who surpasses him for depicting cartoon gesture and dynamic movement. And let's not forget those environments!

Terry Jones Caricature

A caricature of Monty Python’s Terry Jones; a rare trip these days for me to go into the world of total vector. I generally moved away from it—at least as far as creating line art was concerned—as I wanted to feel that I was drawing more rather than just plotting points from start to finish. I went back to it for this one because one great advantage of vector-only image making is the total control of editing it allows, which meant I could go from a basic rough (second image) to something that looked quite different in form...for better or worse!

My face-tug of the actor Mads Mikkelsen. Sometimes I feel I'm getting close to answering the question 'how far is too far?'!
