Ian Botham Charity Night

On the 16th Feb, Otago Medical Research Foundation held their annual fund raising dinner in Dunedin, New Zealand; raising money for various good causes. This year, Sir Ian Botham—English cricketing legend and world's greatest all-rounder (of course)—was guest speaker. Apparently, the usual procedure is to for the foundation to commission an artist to create a caricature of the speaker, or use a pre-existing piece of artwork, in order for the speaker to sign it before it's then auctioned on the night. So this year it was a kick for me to have one of my efforts used. It's an old one of Beefy (created in 2011), but it's good to know the old ones are still being seen. And above are couple of images: due to the unfortunately positioned hand shake In the photo I've posted the original artwork as well. Many thanks to Events Manager, Steve Davie for allowing me to post.

Amedeo Modigliani

Not really a caricature this, more a straight representation of the great artist Amedeo Modigliani. It wasn't drawn from a single image but is a composite using a few different source images as pointers—which, incidentally, is how I usually go about creating my caricatures.
